Any childcare center can say it offers quality care. A 4-Star Texas Rising Star certification means ours has been independently assessed against the state's toughest quality standards — and earned the highest rating there is.
What Is Texas Rising Star?
Texas Rising Star is the state of Texas's quality rating and improvement system for childcare programs, administered by the Texas Workforce Commission. Every licensed childcare center in Texas must meet minimum health and safety standards — but Texas Rising Star certification is voluntary, and it recognizes programs that choose to go well beyond that baseline.
Certified programs are assessed by trained mentors and assessors, re-evaluated regularly, and supported with ongoing coaching so quality doesn't just get achieved once — it stays high year after year.
The Star Levels — and Where We Stand
Texas Rising Star awards three certification levels. The more stars, the higher the demonstrated quality:
